Robert "Rob" Buchta was born in 1972 in Tucson, AZ. He has been an artist since he was a child. In an effort to shelter himself from the harsh summer temps, he spent many a summer afternoon in local libraries. When he was 15, he picked up Dick Smith's Do it Yourself Monster makeup manual and began practicing FX makeup. After High School, he moved to the Pacific Northwest.  He's worked in Haunted Houses, theatrical productions and movies. After winning the Crypticon Seattle Makeup Contest in 2010, he began organizing the annual event at the convention in 2012. He is trying his best to art daily.
